American Technology Honor Society

The ATHS was formed in the 2000 school year as a place for students with interest and talent with computer and related equipment to learn, share, and help the school community.

Meetings are held each Thursday after school from 3:05 to 3:45 in room 105. Tuesdays after school are also reserved for students to come in and work on other ATHS project work.
The club sponsor for ATHS is Mr. Putnam.

ATHS can make a real difference in the lives of students by helping the school:

  • Recognize outstanding students for their accomplishments in the use of technology.
  • Encourage students to be mentors to adults and peers as they develop technological skills
  • Motivate others to follow the lead set by ATHS members
  • Inspire students to achieve their potential
  • Cultivate a spirit of commitment to the school and community
  • Investigate opportunities for support from business and the community, including information on internships, and exposure to new technologies and funding venues
  • Capitalize on the expertise of students to update the school technology plan or enhance the overall use of technology within the school.
